Gross Domestic Product of Indonesia in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector

During 2013-2018, the accumulated additional value of the GDP of the agricultural sector which was able to be produced reached Rp1.375 trillion and the value of the GDP of the Agricultural Sector in 2018 rose 47% compared to 2013.

"If calculated with the agro-industry and the provision of food and beverages based on agricultural raw materials, the contribution could reach 25.84%. And this has an impact on the national economy," according to Ketut Kariyasa, Head of the Center for Data and Information, Ministry of Agriculture.

The agricultural sector, said Kariyasa, is becoming increasingly important in national economic growth. This is also illustrated by controlled food inflation, the number of poor people in rural areas has declined and farmers' welfare has improved.
